While in standard form the Link ECU is ok it would be a better idea to buy a Flyin' Miata upgrade. For USD$50 + postage they will send you a new chip with their latest software on it. It provides much more functionality. You will need to spend some more money on a temp sensor (around USD$90) and a knock sensor if your kit didn't come with one. This would allow you to keep the Link ECU but gain access to all the R&D that Flyin' Miata have put into their version of the Link ECU.

Yes, I bought a 2nd hand turbo, exhaust and Link ECU. I decided to upgrade the software by installing their latest chip. This way you keep the investment in the ECU and have an upgrade path. There is a huge user base of the FM link ECU in the states, on top of the great FM support.

Here is a link to soft copy of their install and user guides

Dredging up an old thread.

Fish, I spoke briefly with you at the last track day and would've liked to know more but you guys had headed off in the afternoon.

Obviously the little rocket is going like the clappers now, so how did you get from this thread point 6 months ago to where it is now?

The figures that your gettin with a stage 3 kit doesnt sound right :? I was running an AVOkit on my NA6 with link and extra injector, 320hp GT28 with 2.5 inch exhaust, Tuned at AVO and i was making 140 kw ATW and 745.5 nM of torque ATW.

You should be making more than what your getting. Ask around and find a good and respected tuner who does Link and ya should be right :D Ya got all the important mods done to go with ur kit. Goodluck mate :D
