gearbox oil for a NB SE

Postby blackster » Wed Sep 06, 2006 8:49 pm

Im wanting to change the gearbox oil on my SE, I've been recommended castrol VMX80 as a replacement, has any NB owner used this and has it made a difference in colder climates? If not what are you using as a replacement oil?

Cheers

Redline Lightweight Shockproof - made a significant difference in my car, even though the Motul that was in the box was near new, the change is much nicer with the Redline.

Thanks for the tip, is this the one your using?

RL148-1 Lightweight Shockproof Gear Oil

According to the redline website there are only a few resellers in sydney, ive rang around and I havent had much luck. Popped into autobarn @ auburn and they stated the sold the last bottle last week and will not be re-ording due to expensive shipping cost.

I guess ill either try to order directly from perth or wait for another group buy. :?
