Radiator BUSTED!!!!!!!

yeh, can be retanked if the cores are fine. $235 when mine got retanked.

theres a lot of radiators nowadays with plastic tanks.

Just get a new one and be done with it. My 1.8NA was about $330 from memory from a dealer with club members discount.

when the top tank starts to go \"browny\" in colour.. its time to change.
usual cost is approx $300 incl labour and new coolant.

There is a company called Adrad that make a \"normal\" copper/brass radiator for MX5,bolts straight in and is a thicker core...I always use them in my race cars,more expensive but if you plan the keep the car forever worth the extra cost.

well mine is pretty browny still after changin the old rusty radiator cap. I guess now I have to change the radiator and flush the whole cooling system LOTs.

Agreed - The Adrad is a tad more expensive. but is quite a capable radiator - I've had one in my turbo car for about 2 years and never had a problem.

A big bonus is that the copper/brass radiator are also much easier and cheaper to have repaired.
