Did the old and English ones last 128k with a seemingly fixed temp gauge though?

There is a company called Adrad that make a \"normal\" copper/brass radiator for MX5,bolts straight in and is a thicker core...I always use them in my race cars, more expensive but if you plan the keep the car forever worth the extra cost.
NC Roadie, NC Racey, ND Racey….and a 30AE
Plus several others in the bone yard...

usual cost is approx $300 incl labour and new coolant.
well mine is pretty browny still after changin the old rusty radiator cap. I guess now I have to change the radiator and flush the whole cooling system LOTs.

I stand corrected. Hold on, did three engines last 128k?

Agreed - The Adrad is a tad more expensive. but is quite a capable radiator - I've had one in my turbo car for about 2 years and never had a problem.
A big bonus is that the copper/brass radiator are also much easier and cheaper to have repaired.
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.
