PBu wrote:i've been getting this squeaking noise lately and im not quite sure what it is. it kinda sounds like squeaking breaking noise. the noise u get when u step on the breaks. but the thing is im not stepping on my breaks or anything. it just makes that noise normally when the car is moving without even touching the breaks. any idea what could be the cause of it?

Does it lessen or go away if you do applythe brakes? Could be the pads getting low and the squealers telling you they need replacement.

Jack the car up, pop off the wheels and have a look how much meats left on the pads. The squeelers are built into the backing plate and touch on the rotor when the pad gets low enough, letting you know it time to turf them.

If you just want standard ones then your local auto shop can sell you a set of Bendix pads.
