Separating the NB dash

Howdy!
I am preparing to measure multiple times and hopefully cut once, the dash in my NB to fit around the cage, aiming for it to be as neat as possible. My cage has the front legs down the windscreen (easy to accommodate) and the windscreen pillar support bars that pass through the dash in the region of the eyeball vents (not so easy to neatly accommodate).
So here's the question: Can you easily separate the soft dash 'skin' and white plastic upper from the hard dark coloured plastic main frame of the dash?
It looks to be held together with screws only, but there may be glue lurking as well.
If i can separate these, the two parts should be easier to fit independent of eachother.
