NB Boot not closing

For about a year now my boot doesn’t want to close. To get it to actually close I have to really slam it with some weight behind it. t’s like the boot lid is just bouncing off the rubber seal.
When I put a pen in the latch it clicks locked instantly so it’s like the boot latch just isn’t going far enough down to click into the lock.
I can’t see any adjustment in the latch on the body side to raise it up. Is there any adjustment there?

my understanding is that there's two adjustment points.
One at the latch, and one on at the loop bit on the lid.
With the carpets etc removed the latch should have two bolts, one either side of it.
From memory the holes on the latch are slightly oversized to allow a little adjustment with the bolts loosened.
Otherwise, maybe the loop end on the boot lid has shifted, and the latch is making some contact with the corner rather than the flat in the middle.
Adjustment here is the same, loosen, wiggle to new position, tighten, repeat until it's improved.

Yes, one or both should have a little bit of adjustment (the lock bit and the latch). I suspect one is loose (latch?)

I swear I looked at that ages ago and there wasn’t any adjustment in the latch bolts. Loosened the 2 bolts holding the latch and there’s a good 5-8mm of movement up and down. The latch was all the way to the bottom.
Adjusted accordingly and now it matches with ease.
Much better.
