NA indicator/wiper stalks?

I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to find an answer to this - did the indicator and wiper stalk change at some point on the NA? I recall mine being straight and others I've seen were also this way but I'm looking at a car where they both have a bend near the steering column. Not sure if the switch assembly has been replaced or if this was one of many minor changes that happened through the years.
Is there anywhere that has a good detailed summary of the year to year changes for the ADM cars?

Vaguely recall on the 1996-1997 P4 revision of the NA8 that these were different from the 1993-1995 P3 revision. Brian Long has reworked & had published his overall MX5 book into a book on each model. Like many others on here, have the original book, which provides a fair bit of detail, some of it even ADM specific, but his new NA book may go into a lot more detail. For example his original book didn't include the Clubman, but did include the USDM R Package, so some years ago emailed him about the Clubman & he said he was putting together material for a new book. Unfortunately not yet seen the content as believe it was only published last year or perhaps the year before.

Thanks for that, might have to pick up a copy.
I'm more familiar with the 94 and earlier cars and it does seem there were a fair few little changes in 96/97. I suspect this is one of them.

For the JDM the NA8 changes were introduced in Aug 1995, but ADM didn't get them until beginning of 1996. Brian Long's original book says: 'August 1995 saw the introduction of the 133bhp Series II 1.8 litre engine'. '...the Series II version featured a 16-bit ECU & a lightweight flywheel [read very slightly lighter]...'
'An airbag was now standard on all Roadsters' [read JDM] & a few other interior changes were made, but wiper & indicator stalks don't appear to be specifically mentioned. USDM 1996 MY also had to meet OBDII emissions regulations & new side impact requirements so obviously got the 133bhp Series II 1.8 litre engine. This motor though is distinct from the later NB8A BP4W head & VICS intake motor, which was rated at 140bhp.
