hi guys, about to buy a sprint V. im 6"2 so am going to not bother mounting it to the rails and go straight to the floor. ill try with the stock humps first, but may cut them off eventually if im not low enough. A mx5plus bar will be going on too and id love to keep my helmet under that. anyone local made the rail or know of anyone who does? TDR seem to have them, but id rather support local if possible http://trackdogracing.com/tdrseatrails.aspx
anyone done something simular please chime in!

Are you going to be using a harness? If so the location of the harness bolts could impact how far the seat goes back. Best bet will be to fit the bar, fit the seat and then see where the eyebolts go.

thanks magpie very helpful. I will run harnesses in the future but not for a while. just keen to get as much head room as possible. what side mounts did you use? I was thinking of bolting to the bottom mount holes.

The mounts were off eBay from memory, about $65.
Using the bottom holes is not a problem, however getting the bolts in on the tunnel side is a PAIN IN THE ARSE! You may need to do some percussive maintenance on the tunnel before installing the seat to allow some room to get the bolts in.

Thanks, it is very similar to "if it does not fit force it, if it breaks it needed replacing anyway" school of percussive quality control

thanks guys, have also found that mxmania do a mount for 80 bucks that bolts to the front holes and through the floor after you cut the rear mounts
