NA Sill sticker

I have just purchased a limited edition NA that is in very original condition with 130k on the clock. Based on the receipts it seems to have been well cared for but like most 26 year old cars it isn't perfect. THe MX-5 scene is new to me so I am looking for all the help/advice I can get. I aim to keep it as original as possible and the sticker on the drivers side sill is starting to peel off and I was wondering if it is possible to purchase a replacement?

Also not quite sure which sticker you're referring to, but probably not currently available from Mazda dealers or Mazda Australia. But if there aren't any at Mazda dealers or aftermarket suppliers, it's worth contacting Mazda Australia as in the past they have been extremely helpful when possible to initially facilitate remakes. In the first instance try Mazda dealers in Aust & overseas, & also try Amayama, for which you usually need the part number.

Yes, it is the '91 BRG. The sticker says 'MX-5' and is on the stainless steel door sill plate.

not sure if you can get stickers for that. probably have to replace the whole part.

not sure if he sill was actually part of it. perhaps a added aftermarket thing.

Yes, that's the one except it says MX-5 instead of Roadster edition. I didn't realise the sill plates weren't on all model. My sill is still fine, just hoping I could buy a sticker.

I have a feeling they were on none of them.
it may have been a dealer option or a later addition.

although I can't be 100% sure of that.

They were definitely standard on the brg limited edition NA6.

Perhaps the ones sold at RevLimiter are close enough?

The sills were an option available at purchase, and generally special editions (like the brg) would get options like that by default.

As far as stickers, your best option is to contact a signwriter, or general sticker printer, and talk to them about having a replacement made.

It's an unfortunate fact of life that as parts go out of production, you need to resort to reproduction parts.

Yes and no. My boss owned one back in '91 and I always thought I wouldn't mind one. I own a couple of Mustangs, a Cobra and an FPV F6 so I'm not really sure it is my kind of car, but I figure if it doesn't work out I'm not going to lose much.

Funny, a big Ford Man buying a tiny japanese car. You don't see that everyday.
