There's a current post on the big forum about these atm.
Consensus being that they make a good improvement to squeaks on the road, though you can achieve a similar result for free by 'adjusting' the existing ones with a BFH..

Interesting. I've never paid much thought to these little things.
At the risk of sounding like a fool, what's a BFH?

Adjusting the existing ones works for a while. Then they wear out. Door stops as a consumable - who'd have thought it?

I've been eyeing these off since I saw the thread on m.net, and various reviews including RevLimiter's have all sung very high praises. Anyone one interested in organising a group buy to save on the dreaded shipping?

maybe suspend belief- so do we know what delrin is and if its better than metal/ rubber then why doesn't Mazda mould the products from Delrin on a production basis?

Maybe suspend your cynicism of all things aftermarket? A lot of people have been very surprised at the effectivness of these bushing in the door. Different cars, with different setups have all reported noticable immedate improvements.

Basically it's a proprietary name for a kind of hard plastic made by DuPont.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PolyoxymethylenePersonally i'd just stick with rubber, since when the doors inevitably sag, or vibrate slightly out of alignmnent, they will still close fine (since the rubber will deflect and take up any slack)
I have no doubts that these reduce rattles, but i'd also think that new rubber ones would as well.
Stiffness is a pretty subjective thing, and I would imagine there would be a large placebo effect

Good grief. These little things are amazing according to the reviews. I have no idea how they can possibly affect the sound quality of the ICE unit but anyway.....
I replaced one of the worn rubber ones on my car with a new rubber one. The door sounds nicer when it shuts. That's it. No other improvement. I'd expect a similar result with the Delrin blocks.
