Will this polish out?

Found a rear bumper for my NB that matches my paint, it's much cleaner than the bumper on my car currently (has chipped paint, flaking, etc).
Just a quick question, would this be repairable? Apart from this one mark the bumper seems to be in VGC and i can get it for a great price. I know the rear bumpers are plastic, don't know if this makes any difference. I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff.

Appreciate the help.

That's what I was thinking too but figured I may as well ask.
On another note.. if anyone has a clean silver nb8b/c rear bar they have sitting in their shed in Brisbane, let me know.. haha.

if it will not polish out you can do a spot repair- which you would do before putting on the car. It might not be a perfect job. You could even repaint the whole bumper albeit in an acrylic ( pressure pack- match to car colour paint nbr) and then the colour is consistent.

Yeah easy enough to repair.
Either spot repair or spray whole bumper.
If you choose spot repair, an old trick is mask off much more than you need.
Sand down area till smooth, if it goes down to the plastic you'll need some plastic primer to make the paint stick.
Otherwise just grey prime over existing paint.
Then spray the colour over as small an area as you can that just covers the required area.
When you go to spray the clear, spray it about 2-3 inches over where you sprayed the colour. It helps to blend.
Another trick is to curl the masking tape backward, this helps blending also.
I can upload a pic if you need, but I can't be bothered right now.
One thing, DO NOT SAND PAINT BEFORE CLEAR COAT. Metallic paint is not designed to be sanded between coats.
Just sand the primer smooth and clean it well before painting, and maybe a really light sand with 2000grit wet and dry after the clear coat has set for a day or so.
