NC Replacement Soft Top... Robbins v EZ On?

I know this has been done before in the NA & NB space... but i am hoping people that may have put these on their NCs may be able to tell me what they think about how happy they are with their tops.

Summary, My car was parked outside one of our operations at Hexham, it was raining, there are plenty of works in the area... a passing truck kicked a wet stone that shattered my rear window... bummer

So I have to replace the roof fast, I am not going to be able to visit suppliers to see installed roofs... mine is a coloured top so there is a 3 week lead on top.

Any commentary on fit, taughtness around the 3 quarters and rear window, quality, symmetry, interior strap-work, general look compared to OEM etc.

I hit google... this conversation exists in the US cars, S2000 space, MG space...In the US miata space it is like Ford V Holden tribalism ("my uncle runs a trim shop and X is crap"... "no my uncle runs a trim shop and y is crap"... "then you are a dhead" type conversations) but I am interested in the MX5 owners (sponsors/retailers whomever) here.

Also if someone replaced the 2006 Saddle tan (Brick?) recently, what colour did you go with?)

Many thanks

John

I have a black OEM soft top which you can take off me if you want.

The cloth is delaminating near the edge towards the windscreen.

I managed to replace mine with an OEM from Chris Gough :)

It was probably one of the ones I was looking at when Chris told me they were all gone... :D

I am still deciding whether to use my insurance... if I go down that path I would be sourcing a new hood. If not I might get back to you... thanks for the offer (and for posting it in the freebies section way back when)....

No opinions on either hood? Anyone? Beuler? Beuler? I would appreciate any input :frown:

OEM new is over $4500 if anyone is wondering... that would be OEM in the correct colour... Ezy On has more colour options than Robbins, but neither has "Brick" (saddle tan in Mazda speak), I am wondering if any one has sourced the "brown".
