Could a Japanese 180kph speedo cluster fit as a direct swap into an Aussie delivered 92 NA with a 220 kph speedo


My speedo is knackered and I have a perfect 180kph unit spare

It will hook straight up but will read inaccurately. If you change to the right kind of speed sensor from a JDM vehicle as well, you'll get a correct reading.

Why bother to change. Many cars have speedos going to stratospheric numbers but we are still stuck with 110kph just about everywhere. Once you start fiddling you can create problems and changing a speedo voids any likelihood of having a genuine reading on the odometer.

the OP said his current speedo is non functional and the 180kph unit is a working spare he already has

and in addition to that I like the cleaner look of the 180kph dash and I also have a full set of aftermarket dash dial faces for the 180 dash as well, three kinda good reasons to change it over LOL
