Crashpad coming apart

Hi guys,
The crashpad (very front of the dash) is coming apart. The foam behind is soft and crumbly.
Can I glue this (avoiding super glue as it will melt the foam)? Araldite?
I guess I can unbolt this part and replace it too?
Ta
Bruce

If you look thru mags like classic cars you will see repairers of dash pads. You can get spray foams but they are hard to control and as far as adhesives spray on or contact adhesives ( yellow glues are probably what is required. Super glues ie cyanoacrylate are a very specific use items mainly for fast tacking and can be difficult to work with. You can look up adhesive and see what are the specific types and recommendations to use for particular applications. If you we're say sticking a piece of vinyl over a crash pad I would thing a Kwik Grip is the go but other makers have different brand names for the same type of glue.

The thin layer of foam is crumbly, so there's not really anything for the glue to stick to.

Have you considered ripping it all out and replacing the foam and vinyl? Just my thought...

Probably easier to buy a 2nd hand good replacement.
