NA seat frame bolt?

Hi guys,
I removed a Sparco from my NA8 today. As expected the clasp is secured to the transmission tunnel, but there is an additional bolt which is screwed into the Sparco (into a sidemount frame hole).
Where does that bolt normally go? Is there supposed to be just a nut on it? If so, it seems a bit flimsy (only one bolt on the other end into the tranny tunnel)?
Ta
Bruce

Would that all bolt straight into an NB? Does the NB have the hole in the tranny tunnel for the (other) bolt?

NA6 has a long buckle that attaches directly to the trans tunnel
NB has a short one attached to a large welded tab on the seat rail with a captive nut (much larger than the one in your pic)
The NA8 from memory used a similar method to the NB, but with a smaller tab on the rails, and the addition of a pointless piece to bolt to the trans tunnel (pointless since it doesn't even attach to anything at the other end, it's just a stick)
Personally, I would either buy an NA6 long stalk and bolt it to the tunnel, or buy an NB seat rail and use that.
For reference, in my NB I have put in an NA6 stalk, which required me to drill a hole in the tunnel and fit a large backing plate underneath since the NB doesn't have the pre-strengthened and threaded panel there that the NAs do.

Bruce, pic of mine - the end of bolt you mention is where my finger is:

Thank you very much Clubman.
I suspected that bolt attached to the NA8 seat. Shame it doesn't bolt onto the NB seat. Nor can I bolt the NA8 stalk into an NB (no tranny tunnel hole).
I will have to buy an NA6 stalk ! Complications.

The NA8 stalk is the same as the NB from those pics above.
Just remove the stalk from the NA8 rails, then bolt it to the NB rail.
The NB rails have the tab to fit the shorter buckle onto, the tab shape is simply different to the NA8 because they got rid of the weird horisontal stick part.

That makes sense. But I've only got NA bases (no hole to mount the stalk).

Ah, sorry, the way you worded the earlier post I thought you had access to an NB rail etc.
I'll check my garage and have a look, I can't remember if the NB seat has a threaded hole or not (it may be hidden behind the fabric)
I'll also look and see if I have a spare NB seat rail sitting around, if I do you're welcome to it.

That would be great if you could check both. Thanks.
