Was reading up an a UK forum that someone bought an Mk2 (NB) dashboard airbag cover which was hinged. He said he got it from MX5plus.com.au I've had a look and couldn't see it. He used it to create another glove box

Obviously some fabrication was involved to make it. Does anyone know where I can buy one from?

Many Thanks

pretty sure that's not "hinged" in the normal way.

It's just a deployed airbag with the charges and bag removed by the looks

Possibly a jap import model (cheaper ones don't have a bag on that side)? I'm only guessing from past experiences with other cars.

Pretty sure all NBs had twin bags. But I could be wrong.

What makes me think it's just a deployed bag is the way it's split (you'd expect a handle or something, and rounded edges, for a factory hatch)
And mainly the face it says "SRS" on the lid, which I've only ever seen stamped on places where the actual airbag is located.

You want rounded edges? tick.

Handle? Looks like 'push to open' to me ...

Deployed bag? Nope.

Legal? Dunno.

Neat? Hell yes :BROADY:

So its a used airbag cover that he turned into an extra glove box.

Perfect for NB interior conversions on NAs, illegal in NB (because they don't like you removing safety features from your car).
