Gday all,

Trying to get together all the parts to fit a hard top.
I actually ordered a kit from a local mx5 specialist requestign them overnight but over a week later and after 3 attempts to communicate via email and phone i cant afford to wait any longer.
I found the following list and wanted to confirm the actual part #'s

Does this seem accurate? Is this all i should need.
Also i suspect its highly unlikely i will need the OEM latch's at the front correct? I will confirm this on the top i have purchased.
Im just going to hope mazda oz have some in stock. And order them asap.

If the hardtop still has it's latches attached (it should) you should only need the following:

Frankenstein Bolts x2 (~$50 from Mazda)



If you're really concerned you may also want the side latch plates, and the screws to fit them.




Personally I wouldn't bother with the side latches, the hardtop is perfectly secure without them, and the bonus is you don't have to cut holes in the interior trim to fit an ugly catch.

You just need to check the rear catches (under the chrome bit) are still in good condition, and to adjust them properly.

Adjustment (and checking) is as simple as removing the philips head screw on the inner edge of the chrome cover, the cover then swings outwards on a pivot.
Underneath is the U shaped catch held with two bolts, loosen the bolts and move the catch until it's hooking the frankenstein bolt properly, leaving maybe a little slack to make it easier to instal/remove the top later.
