Gonna fill mine with expanding foam. Anyone know if this will suck? Simply cannot bring myself to cut it or drill it
Also, 130kget

I don't know what 130kget means.

Just cut the bumper.

If you're not racing it - Dont worry about it.

Sunlight Silver I believe it's called?

I don't think my car is ready for circumcision. I know it's not really an issue below 150km/h but I have too much time on my hands and a propensity to get myself in trouble when I run out of productive/semi productive things to do.

The rear bumper is more 'aftskin' than foreskin.

You can buy fire proof expanda foam.

Good point however.

Why buy and add when you can cut for free?

add = more weight
cut = less weight

For 20 - 50grams, I'd much prefer the look of an intact bumper

Silver you crazy if you don't like the aggressiveness of a cut aft skin.

Bottom 2 photos.

Tooting my own horn here as it's my own car, but any mx5 with cut rear bumper looks just as nice from the rear.

Dan.

*edit: I did it with an all metal kinchrome box cutter and a fresh blade. Nothing beats precise brute force! :)

Damn you!
Now I'm seriously temped. What measures did you take to ensure a smooth, regular and aesthetically pleasing cut?

Yeah yours looks great.

Unfortunately my exhaust touches the bumper on hard right handers and has melted a slight imperfection in the aftskin - oh no my hand is being forced! :D
