Removing Glass to Tint Windows?

Hi all,

I've decided to tint my windows myself seeing that there aren't as much windows on a MX5 making it easier to install and cheaper than a professional
(plus I like doing these little projects on my car).

So my main question is has anyone actually tried removing the windows from the doors to install their tint outside of the car because it seems like you can do a much more thorough job when you can have access to all of the glass?

I know it would be more of a hassle to do this but I got time and just want to feel satisfied that I did a good job installing the tint. :D

Thanks.

The tint is applied to the inside glass face. It isn't applied to the leading edge area that runs in the track.
Just remove the door card to apply the film below the top of the door.

I know that, I wasn't planning to tint all of the glass I just thought it would be easier to get the edges.

We'll see how I go this weekend.
