(Brisbane) Seat Reupholstery

It's time to replace or repair my seats... Seat covers look like the easy option, but I'd like to treat the car and my backside to a little more.

Has anybody had seats reupholstered in the Brisbane area? Approx cost? Happy with the job?

Grateful for any advice.

Leather seat covers might be more cost effective if they appeal:
Clarence Choo, X-Otic leather, Unit 2, 50-52 Delby Street, Silverwater NSW 2128 0408 268 888 or 02 9648 2282, 6am-3pm Mon-Fri.

Also some on ebay:

Haven't had any done but try Lee Brothers at Albion.

...or All Car Interiors at Lutwyche/Windsor. I've had work done by them, and has always been very good.

Firstly, what model do you have?

IMO the easy option is to buy used, better condition seats and swap. Probably work out a fair bit cheaper than reupholster.

Easy enough to also do yourself. I recently did this to my seats. Check my garage thread or PM me for more details.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions guys.

My MX is the '98 NB. Seats are grey leather and are a perfect match for my granddad's grey zip-up Hush Puppies.

Didn't like them when new... now I'm indifferent.

I'll try some of those upholsterers this week and compare against the ebay options.

Thanks again.

Just a suggestion but I've had the 98 NB in the past and the seats aren't that all flash perhaps maybe seeing if you can get a later model seat as well which I believe is more comfortable (well to me anyway)

Just another option

+1 for lee brothers at Albion. They did my soft top and the service was second to none. Not the cheapest but were very accommodating!
