Matt is the new Black
Thought this might be of interest. Sort of looks like MX-5 Titanium, only meaner.
So new nobody has worked out whether to spell it 'matte' or 'matt'.

These Velosters actually look quite good in the flesh, I saw one before I knew about them and was quite impressed (apparently they're gutless though so you'd want the turbo version).

They actually look quite nice.
But then again, in real life I'm not looking at a distorted wide angle view of one while lying on the road (why did the photographer choose that view!?)

Re: Matt is the new Black
The Veloster, well it looks good from behind but the front kind of has a 'cheap' look about it! I was having a coffee at the BP Southbound a few weeks ago and a couple pulled in so I was talking to them, they had had it since 2011 and I didn't know they had been around that long, bought it in Bundaberg
As for 'matte', a few weeks ago at Lakeside there was a matte black Porsche Cayenne [or however you spell it], checked the rego label and it was a 2004 model - didn't impress me!

"The Veloster matte-finish paint is currently only available in two colours - Young Gun and Petrol"
Who names these colours?
I saw a matt black Carrera GT in a Porsche showroom in Stuttgart, looked incredible.

Nobody is particularly interested in the paint, so I guess it is a passing fad.
Maybe MX-5 owners just love to polish their babies.

It's the bogan guys who go to bunnings and buy 50 cans of the 2 dollar spray paints and paint there commowhores or vans may black who ruin it! Some cars can suit and others do. My old metal work teacher had a series 1 rx7 painted in Matt black, the thing looked evil!

Perhaps the color is not suitable on cheaper car but it looks sh!t hot on a LP700-4. - It's yours for a cool $850k.

That's rather impressive. because if you get sick of the matt the vinyl can be peeled off.
