Seatbelt receiver

So the problem with my new seat is that the seatbelt receiver is too long, and digs into my side. It is also not easily removed from the harness hole for the attaching of the harness. After a recent trip to pick n payless I have discovered that the AU Falcon uses the same seatbelt buckle (took a template, also the (I assume) part number stamped on it is the same). Can anyone see any issues in using a different seatbelt receiver in the car? This one is on fabric (it is from the rear seat), rather than being on a stalk like the stock one. Thoughts? Opinions?

I'm pretty sure the seatbelt anchors from the NA8 where they bolt onto the seat rails instead of the tranny tunnel will solve your issues. (I may be wrong though). But there's nothing wrong with using other receivers as long as its the right fit
It was hell uncomfortable with the stalk sticking out like that, I dunno how you've lasted so long.
Edit: also if you remove the plastic sheeting of the seatbelt stalk, you find that its a length of webbing, it can be shortened.

Thanks. Does someone specific need to do the shortening of the webbing option? Where would one go to do such a thing?
