Cargo Mats

Postby Shaun G » Sat May 19, 2012 7:11 pm

First, an useful lesson. The wooden battery cover in the boot is there for a reason. I had a loose wheel brace short out the battery and start a small fire which cost me my tonneau cover and boot carpet.

So I'm looking at a good quality cargo mat. I've noticed that there is an oem mat on the current models. Is the boot shape the same as on Mk 2/2.5s? It looks like a decent quality mat with hinges on all the diddly bits.

Cheers

Shaun

Sounds like PO removed the NB boot lining & performed some DIY - doubt NC boot lining will fit, but OEM NB boot lining will be available 2nd hand from an MX5 wrecker or forumite.

Btw, ShadyDeals knows where there's a wooden rear bumper bar to go with your battery cover: viewtopic.php?f=81&t=44724&hilit=wooden+bumper
