Door and window rattle

My present SE seems to have more rattles, especially from the doors and windows. than my previous MX5s. To be fair, it also has a stiffer body, complete with the usual SE bracing and a BD roll bar, and Tiens wound down on ride height and tight on the shockers.
But should it really allow the interior lights to come on over some medium sized bumps? And should the doors be able to be pushed in quite a way into the rubbers after they've latched fully closed?
So is there an adjustment of the door strikers due? If so, any tips on doing the job?
Or is there another solution to the rattles?

I have also noticed an increase on door/window rattles.
Car has now done over 105,000km and the 'occasional' track day
I notice when the windows are up, roof down, the glass rattles and scuttles more than in years gone by.
I am guessing a general softening of joints and fittings is causing this.

+ Scuttle shake - fact of life with a roadster
Been the same with any roadster / convertible I've owned - Triumph, MG and now the MX5.
Just live with it....

The first thing that I noticed when I moved from an NB8A to the SE was the tinny feel of the doors, the sound insulation or lack thereof in the SE over the NB8A. I was very surprised at the contrast. Have not investigated why this is so i.e whether this was a design intent of the SE or just a case of cheaper and nasty. My first intent when I bought the SE was to add proper sound insulation, including in the doors. I actually did this many years ago to a car that I had and it changed the thing completely. You'd be surprised what decent sound insulation can do. Has anyone done this?

I've done the same swap, and noticed the same thing.
Currently looking into Dynamatting the doors. Anyone got an opinion on whether matting the rear shelf will make an appreciable difference? Dynamat is expensive stuff!
I also noticed the NB8A stock stereo is MUCH better than the SE's Double Din. Very odd. Lucky that's being replaced too ;)

plenty of history on insulation on the forum. The previous stuff that I used was about 10ml think and had layer of bitumen in the middle. Pretty expensive.
