I have a silver nb
I'm looking to buy a soft top, as some local kids set my old soft top on fire was moe hair apparently moe hair is flammable maybe I should get it made out of nomex??

I noticed the tan colour ones are sometimes a bit cheaper than black ones...
Are they harder to clean than the black ones does it still look ok on a silver car??

sorry to hear about ur soft top though i think the lighter the car colour IE; white, silver etc the darker the top the better also light colour with dark wheels is nice.

I'd say any colour other than black for the soft top is harder to keep clean then a black one.

Seriously WTF with the fire thing? :/

I have a tan cloth top and it is easy to keep clean on the OUTSIDE.i made the mistake of getting tan on inside when i could have had black(witrh tan outside) and it is grubby from the roof bars moving against it when folding etc.
If you don't want to be boring black a mid blue top looks sensational on silver(and white) IMHO.

Sorry to hear of your drama with it Wun,

Peter.

Hi Wun. I know of a wrecker with a Blue soft top (and associated frame) off a 10AE.....he is asking big dollars though. I think the dark blue against the Silver would look very classy.

Wun is alive!
At least they didn't suceed in burning the whole car.
I agree, a silver NB with a dark blue roof looks very nice.

on a tangent, was the vandalism random at a random place, or at your house/work?

I doubt that mohair is any more flammable than vinyl (remember vinyl is petroleum based).

What I'm saying is, whoever did it, would have used some sort of lighter fluid and hence a more malicious act than simply someone throwing a match or cigarette on your top, so your problem might not be just replacing the top.

If you search for pics of BJ's old car (never thought I would type that!), he had a blue roof on a silver NB. I still like the black best on silver.

I never thought blue and silver... Will probably give it a try. Looking for different and cheep.

I think it was random kids in town was over school holidays and they had nothing better to do. And yeah it's flammable kinda scary.

Thanks all
