Wiper linkage/rod Ball joint.

Hi Guys,

Just got an MX5 89 blue eunos roadster.

Driving yesterday and my wipers suddenly stopped from the top.

Popped the hood and the link rod has popped off, I'm not sure if something fell off as now it won't stay on, or maybe its just this busted rubber that was holding it.

Just had a look at my '93 NA8 & wiper rods are attached by what appears to be a bolt, without a nut, loosely encased in rubber. Sounds/ looks like the bolt on yours has come loose - if it's not still in the windscreen cowl area then it will have dropped into the bottom of the front quarter panels & might be trapped in there, although if they've been cleaned out so they drain properly, it will have fallen out onto the road or driveway etc.
