Hi guys,

Could anyone advise how to remove overspray of acrylic primer from the rear window of a soft top ? The plastic is still in very good condition so i don't want to polish it with plastic X to remove it.

Any help will be appreciated.

I would think a polish at bottom end of scale should be fine- that's what you might use on paintwork. I reckon any thinners would be risky. A car detailer might have a suggestion. The Plastx might also be ok. Can you replicate it on a piece of say clear polythene- spotlight has this on rolls and will cut what you want qtys- eg $2

Hi, Have you tried using WD-40 and a clean soft cloth? Odd I know but.....

have you managed to remove the overspray?

Try a clay-bar, non abrasive and takes over spray off paint, see no reason it couldnt be used on plastic. You can use it on glass.....

Scrape it gently with a razor blade.

If you flex the plastic, the overspray should start to crack, as it isn't as flexible as the clear plastic and this may loosen it enough to be scraped off quite easily.
Put the window in the sun first to warm it up and make it more flexible.

Hi guys thanks for the tips. was able to get majority of the over spray
out with wd 40. for some of the bigger blobs i found using the tip pf the fingernails to work best.
