Hey Guys
The soft top on my NA8 is shittttty and i want to replace it with a glass window roof but I have a brown davis half cage...
Will the glass window roof still open up without intrusion/hitting the cage?
If thats not an option, any suggestion on which new roof/ window is cost effective and decent quality?
Cheers
Alex

I think it depends on which BD rollbar you have; that is, which leg does your diagonal go to?
Well thats the jist I get from these forums since I don't have a BD bar..

depends which version of the brown davis bar you have.
the old/NA version had the diagonal brace between the rear stays. this is not compatible with a glass window.
the current/NB version has the diagonal bracing the inside of the main hoop. this is compatible with a glass window.

I dont have the BD bar or a glass window. And Im sure someone will correct me if Im wrong.
If you have an NA bar, the diagonal goes from the front to the rear. If you have the NB bar, the diagonal goes from front to front
While both bars will fit an NA, only the NB version allows for the glass window on the soft top.
edit - I type slow

Depends on which BD bar you have. NA bar = problems with clearing glass window softop. NB bar = no problems.
The difference is in where the cross bar attaches.
NB bar on the left, NA bar on the right. The cross bar for the NA attaches to the rear of the back legs, on the NB it attaches to the vertical cage part.

Check out these guys:

Very happy with my one piece hood which cost me about $450 landed. Would be even less now at current exchange rates.
