Bolt on flares

Postby red devil » Mon Jul 04, 2011 9:29 pm

So before anyone gets their panties in a bunch i have used the search button and have not been able to find the answer to my question!
There was a similar question asked but not answered

Does anyone know what the legalities are concerning fender flares? are they a NONO? or will i be able to argue the point when questioned by the boys in blue?

Cheers eren

AFAIK they are totally legal as they are not a pedestrian safety iddue and dont affect anything from a blue slip point of view, but it will be hard to argue you have them but havent changed the track width of the car, which DOES require engineering.

they are legal.

But its one of those small mods like a pod filter. Very rare to get defected for. You do need engineering cert. to do it 100% legit but i wouldnt bother. AFTEr u get defected (IF you do actually) then worry about it.
