WA - A good place to recover reupholster seats?

Postby bootz » Sun May 15, 2011 9:34 pm

Hi All,

I have a very nice pair of seats that need redoing before going into the 5. They grab my bum and shoulders much more than the OEM model.
If you do know of a place that does a good but reasonably cheap job in the Perth area I would appreciate it.

My preference is for the bolsters to be done in leather for wear and the centres in an OEM type fabric.

I'm guessing you've got a pair of Mazdaspeed seats?

At some stage I'd like to re-trim my Mazdaspeed seats' outer "pleather" trim with real leather so I'm interested to see how yours turn out and how much they cost.

Bootz,
I am unable to recommend anyone that is both good and cheap but if you want good quality then contact Chris or Peter at Trimcare on 9470 3381. They have worked on all my MX-5s for over a decade and all of Wheelspin's customers when I had the workshop. Mention my name and they will look after you. 8)

Regards,
Les

Thanks, will certainly give them a go.

Not the cool MS seats, would like those purely for the graded centre fabric
Probably a snowball's chance that any of that fabric is available.
These come out of an old GTI, but are so supportive I will fit if I can get them recovered to suit.

The NB2 seats are comfy but nobody complains that the side and shoulder bolsters are too snug.
