Hi, does anyone know of a source for tan leather and vinyl for the NA. I want to cover my rollbars in the material.

leather or vinyl... a motor trimmer. Spotlight eg Bayswater carries vinyl as does Clarks. And to glue it you can use a contact adhesive such as Selleys Qwik grip. Vinyl is much easier to source and is a very tough product.

I meant in the specific MX-5 colour. I would prefer not to have to spray it.

last time I looked at any car the interior trim is a contrast. Vinyls are made in certain colours selected by the trim maker or nominated by the OEM- the chances it will be the same as a specific body colour has to be remote. Vinyl sprays are also done in specific colours by say VHT but again what chance is the exact match to a vehicle external colour. You can also get paint matched by paint specialists to body colour and whilst it is not probably the best choice ie an acrylic or enamel over vinyl it can be done. Most just paint roll bars black.

You are going to have to decide which colour you want as the LE is a missmash of different colours vinyl to leather.I had one section of a seat replaced(leather) and the trimmer could not find a leather in both the same colour and texture. He found another coloured hide with the same texture and had someone colour it,it is an amazing match.
Other than if you find vinyl at a shop this is going to cost a bit, maybe go with black as there is still a fair bit of that in the LE's interior.
So the answer to your original question is that you will be very lucky to find any matching tan leather or vinyl at a cost effective price.
Peter.
