New soft top.

Postby Tedsmx5 » Sun Apr 10, 2011 5:14 pm

My poor old MX's soft top has had it the fabric is coming away from the vinyl. So what brand to get, theirs Prestige and Robins, they seem to be the better quality soft tops around. Yes I will be installing it myself. The rain rail, is a genuine Mazda the way to go? Should I replace any other parts, the soft top works great and locks down well just falling apart?

Why didn't I buy one years ago?
NA8 Ceramic coated headers, Hi flow cat, 2.5”system, M45 SC 150/62.5 8psi, Dual TB, IC & Adaptronic ECU.

I just installed this today.

My room mate has the prestige & we just installed the robins

Comparing to the prestige soft-top, i can say its a better quality, there is a few things you don't need to do with the robins soft-top like riveting the rain rail to the soft-top and the robins is a full 1 piece, where the prestige is a 2 piece (they have been stitched together) the robins is full 1 piece, no stitches across the back

took 1 hr to take the original roof from the car,
4 hrs to install with 2 people.

If you do buy Prestige, then I would recommend a Robbins moulded 1 piece rain rail. A very nice item.
