Doesn't look right after panel repair...

Hello everyone :D
Need some help if you don't mind.

Just got my car back from panel beater however it doesn't look right.... I can't tell what is missing but it doesn't look like the way it used to be.... for example, I believe it doesn't have white teeth...

Wondering if any cover or panel are missing or the repairer painted something they shouldn't...
Hope you may help... thank you very much.

I just took a peek; it looks like there is matte-black coating over the paint. I'm assuming it's some sort of protective, anti-corrosion measure, like the "tar" paint on the underbody. It's worn off a fair bit here and there, as I can clearly see body-colour underneath.

There is no missing panel.

I think you'll find that the white "fangs" panel should be satin or matt black. See the pic of my past NA.

Thank you guys...
Yeah... new paint work...just that I can't recall my car has got "teeth" on it....
I was wondering if the "teeth" originally painted black...

Defiantly it stands out because the paint is clean and white.
Mine is a dull/dirty body colour behind the grill therefore it is not as obvious as yours.
Could paint it black so it blends into the mouth.

My "fangs" are car coloured as well, but being Grace green it doesn't stand out as much as white.

My "fangs" are red with a matt black coating over the top that is chipped and scratched off to various degrees. It's all so filthy and fungal that I can't quite decide whether the black is paint or just 19 years worth of grunge!

my car has black tie downs in the front. Black is likely to be the standard colour since the product is probably supplied complete and painted by a component maker. It would add a lot of complexity for a component supplier to provide colour on demand- ie separate part numbers ie sku's and makes Kanban trickier.

I am curious what you are on!
The OP's baby teeth (the tow hooks) ARE black.
Surprisingly your reply has nothing to do with the OP's question and adds nothing to this discussion.

Thank you everyone!
I guess I need to mask off the area carefully and get a can of matte black paint soon.
Fortunately it wasn't a real bad accident at the first place (Radiator was fine.. able to drive home)... but it happened at the night before last club track day... so in the interest of other club member (Safety) I missed out both track day and Marulan training day.

From factory, some parts of the bumper have "blacking out" done to them to enhance appearance.

The panel beater didn't replicate these. No huge issue.

If you do do this yourself, use satin or matte black paint. Usually these areas are not with gloss black.

de bounce I like your grille. Obviously it does not affect your cooling so I am not even going to ask.

BTW, the bumper is moulded in black and then painted. The parts that a designer does not want painted are masked off during the painting process using either simple masking tape or a solid mask.

The same thing is done to the body. It is painted including in the engine bay and underneath in the body colour and then some parts such as in the wheel arches or around the radiator are painted black so you do not see body colour when looking through grilles and into wheelwells.

Calmman, the best thing you can do is to do study several stock photographs that show an original paint job then do a reverse mask and paint those parts black.
