I'm wanting to remove my Nardi wooden handbrake handle from the handbrake stalk, anyone know how you get one of these off?
I bought this one as the entire unit it appears so its never been off the stalk since i owned it, doesn't seem to have the small gap at the bottom of it that the original plastic one has which you get that off with.

Re: Removing Wooden Nardi Handrake Handle
I have pulled a couple of stock handbrakes apart.
The grip is slid onto a smooth tube and glued.
Try heating the grip to soften the glue and giving it a good twist as recommended HERE.
If you don't want to risk damaging the grip, consider getting another 2nd hand handbrake and changing out the whole item.

Re: Removing Wooden Nardi Handrake Handle
Well i ended up sliding it off after wiggling it a lot.
Its a very delicate operation getting it back on though, very easy to crack the wood IMO.
