Eyeball Vent Restore

I'm in the process of fixing up my eyeball vents. Does anyone know where to buy that velour/fabric tape that lines the inside or what is a suitable substitute?

I tested a few different styles and thicknesses when I was repairing mine.
I ended up buying self adhesive felt from a craft shop. Was about $15 for 5 metres...
