I'm in Geelong and I'm looking at rattlecanning my hard top satin black. Is there anyone either here or Melbourne who's up for it?
Can probably pay in beer and supply paint!

If anyone is up for the task, let me know. The paint on mine has faded pretty bad now and I think any cuts will just go straight through the paint to primer.

Also what kinda prep work am I up against with this? I'm looking for something similar to this http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2667914/1 ... miata-mx-5
That hard top is a rattle can job from what I understand so looking for something similar.

Worst case scenario I'll do it myself so the bigger question is the prep! Cheers guys

painters will tell you that 90% of the work is in the preparation. If the surface is flawed / marred then paint makes it look worse. Therefore if there are blemishes they must be attended to which can mean wet and dry / priming / stop putty etc. There is lots of info on prepping for painting. It is harder than it looks. Paint cans can be very good.
