Hi everyone,

Currently having window problems on the passengers side

Now, i've narrowed it down, however, before ripping my car apart and spending another 4 hours trying to put a power window cable in, i want to confirm my suspicions.

Basically, the window will wind down freely straight to the bottom, however, has dramas winding back up, i literally have to smash the button to get it back up at times, however after some persuasion it does eventually come up, i've noticed however, it does tend to stick, especially if i let go of the button whilst winding it back up, could it be sticking under load?

Before I say power window cables, wiring or the like...

Does any one know how to clean the window guides/guards...i was told by Rhys (not sure if I spelt his name right) at mx5 plus that it should rectify the problem, however...i can't remember what he exactly said, so if anyone has done this, could you please post away? as i'm getting fed up with having one window lol

Thanks Meta

Suspect the switches first. Easy enough to clean the contacts.

Mine didn't get to the stage where they wouldn't go back up, but Silicone spray helped mine to move more freely. Just clean the channels first.
