Hi Guys ,
Just wondering if any of you guys know how much a brown davis roll bar weighs ? as im getting one shipped and just wanted to get an estimate .

My cage was roughly 15kg all packed up. It shouldnt be more then 20kg.
Maybe give mx5 mania a call an ask them.

Yes the steel one is about 15 kg
the alloy one is just over 5 kg

You are missing something- not just the weight but the size of the packed box. Freight is usually charged using a formulae. Would an alloy bar of the same size cost any less to freight- if is international air freight the answer is they are likely to be the same.

well it wont be International.
Brown Davis is located in Melbourne if jdm-mk is buying brand new.
if he's buying used, I would be 99.9% sure the seller is in Australia as well. Those in the US have many other cheaper alternatives, Europe most likely have their own versions too.
the steel one is probably about 15kg as suggested above, never weighed mine, but it sounds about right.
the fitting kit is about 1kg too (bolts, plates, etc)

I know it is not international - my comment was misleading but the logic is the same- freight is based on wt and or size and a formulae is applied- commonly known as volumetric- so you need both bits of info. BD would surely know the answer- they must have to box product regularly.

Bro. Shipping cost me ~$30 from Brisbane to Syd - depot to depot. From door to door would be about $60.
