How to fit RX8 seats onto NB8A

Custom rails or are there off the shelf ones?

Will i be able to connect the electric functions of the rx8 seats to some power source nearby?

Any help would be great.

With the electrics I'd imagine its just requires 12v power which you could hook straight to the battery

there was someone on cr.net that did it. I think they complained about loosing travel with them.

All I can add is that virtually any seat that is not specifically designed for the particular model you wish to install it in is going to be a compromise.
As MXHEVN said, I installed NC seats into my NB, I had to compromise rear recline for the added comfort due to the extra shoulder width of the NC seats which rest against the seat belt enclosure, it is not an issue for me as I don't require the seats to recline any further but a much taller person would not enjoy the seat position (I am 5"11).
In order to make your decision I would recommend you buy an old torn RX7 Seat and use it to take measurements, from there you can make an informed decision on exactly what is required to undertake the task and whether or not it is worth the effort.
I actually purchased a pair of NC Leather Seats and worked out the engineering requirements to fit the seats in the NB, if they were not going to fit correctly then I would have had to onsell them. I did an extensive search on the net to see if anyone had posted a "how to" on the subject but came up empty.

Designing rail supports etc, if there are no aftermarket rails available is the most critical aspect of the task, your new seats absolutely MUST be bolted or welded to the frame in a manner that you are willing to bet your life on, I am more than satisfied that my seat supports are far stronger than the originals, if I could not have achieved that then I would not have started the project.

I did see in my search of forums on the subject of aftermarket seats some absolutely horrendous and downright dangerous examples of people (idiots) who had bolted seats in using self tapping screws and mild steel that you could bend with your hands, if they had a mild collision they would have looked like an F-18 Pilot with a forward travel ejector seat - straight through the windscreen.
If no aftermarket seat rails are available then be prepared for a lot of hard work which will include lifting the seat in and out a dozen times before you get a perfect fit and useful functioning design.
