NA Sideskirts & Front Lip

Postby ll_spud » Fri Sep 25, 2009 10:26 pm

Just wondering where can I get sideskirts and Front lip for my NA8 for a good price? I'm in brisbane

I've checked out http://www.mx5mania.com.au/ & its a bit pricey. Is there anywhere I can get it for a good price? I've checked out ebay with no luck.

Can you guys post some pictures? As I'm still deciding on style.

Cheers,

Luke

The Mazda R-type front spoilers are very hard to find second hand. There are some copies available from places such as MX5mart in NZ, for $200NZ.

The NZ ones are fibreglass and may be more easily damaged than the flexible plastic one that MX5 Mania sells.

I have the plastic one and have scrapped it many times and other than scratches it is in good condition. I would recommend this type.

There are some Garage Vary side skirts on Ebay from Forum sponsor MX5plus

Link to RSpeed US

There is this?
Back when I got my rear lip, a forum member kindly split an order of front and rear and it came out to $250ish each? so by themselves it shouldn't amount to much more

Garage Vary front lip imo only really works on really low cars
otherwise it looks abit gawky, bucktoothed

Here's a linkto a pictorial fitting diary on the RSpeed OEM lip spoilers that I got directly from RSpeed. I thought they were good value when the dollar was only 0.80c. Now with 0.87c, its even better value.

Wow!. Thanks for that link. They look great. But still a bit pricey IMO. Just for a piece of plastic. And it doesnt include shipping to Australia.

I can probably get a front body kit bumper for that price range.

Does anyone know of any cheaper local alternatives? i really like to get a lip. Thanks

Don't forget to include the price of getting your 'front body kit bumper' painted. Most colour cars can get away without painting a lip, and even when they cant getting just the lip painted is far cheaper.
