Hi I am thinking of putting stripes on my Silver NA, how do you stop them from 'wrinkling' when going over the bonnet hump.
Cheers

Hi OD,
Use a hairdryer, but look at http://www.miata.com in the garage section under exterior and there is a full section on how to do it.
I'm thinking of fitting the stripes back on Scooter so will be interested to hear how you go.

The bonnet hump is nothing. Thats probably one of the easiest parts to do. The hardest part is the front bumper. I'd suggest you do that last after you've gotten the knack of how the vinyl works on there. The hair dryer is your friend and so is a helping hand

Wet down your car with soapy water ad leave it wet when you are putting the stripes on.
This way, you can move them around a little without sticking them down.
When the water drys, the stripes will stick really well.
If you keep the car dry, whenever you lift a bit of the stripe to get it into the right position, You'll stretch the vinyl, and then the stripes won't look so good.

Ditto Benny's recommendation. Make sure you remove any air bubbles before it dries.
