For the guys running the OEM rear lip spoiler on a clubman, do any of you know if the placement of the spoiler will foul the clubman sticker?
ie will I have to remove the sticker to fit the spoiler on (assuming the sticker is in its original position)

Also I've read you only need sikaflex/adhesive to hold the spoiler on... does anyone recommend different?

PM green_comet mate, he mentioned something about the clubman sticker having to sit about 3mm lower or something?

You can fit it without moving the sticker, but there will be a very small gap between the spoiler and the top of sticker. I lowered my Clubman badge a few mm to make it look right.

Personally, I wouldn't just use Sikaflex to mount it with however.
The aerodynamic forces at over 100km/h would just be too great and you wouldn't want it flying off.

I've seen spoilers that were bolted on just rip out of the metal at high speeds.

Go down a freeway at 100km/h, and stick your had out of the window, then tell me if you think Sikaflex would hold the spoiler on.

That's exactly why I asked... :D
I don't know the adhesive properties of sikaflex first hand so I'm at a loss to judge whether or not it's sticky enough

I appreciate the tip though, gives me more to think about

Mines bolted on with these little clips that clamp onto the edge of the bootlid.

I have an NB8B rear spoiler and Mazda thinks a few bolts and double sided tape will hold it on. It did until my car was parked outside on a really hot day and the spoiler buckled lifting up from the bootlid. I had to get a new spoiler and used the bolts and sikaflex instead of the double sided tape to attach it this time. It's been there for 4 years and seen some really hot days since and hasn't moved.
