So Guys, Prestige Hoods - Good bang for buck ?
I need a new roof, and Mr Rudd has been good enough to give me a very generous tax return this year ....
The Minister for War and Finance has approved the Capitol spending and bow i need to grab a roof ...
Happy to fit myself, so can save $$$ there, but are the $495 ones any good on an early Na ?

Looks like i can get the same item from Ebay US for a few less $$$ (I've asked them for a postage quote ...)

If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour ... you're gonna see some serious s**t.

The way I read it is that the supplier offers a price for US customers and another for Au and NZ. The price appears to be AU$525 though the freight does seem quite low. What you pay on arrival here might need to be checked regardless of what the seller says( GST?)- other forumites will know. The 14 day money back and 1 year warranty is of limited value as the usual is you pay freight back at the least and maybe even for the replacement- check the terms and conditions. The quality may be fine though an independent recommendation might be reassuring. You also should benchmark a locally supplied soft top to assess if it is worthwhile in dealing with a source on the other side of the globe.

I don't have any experience with the aftermarket hoods, but have fitted a couple myself.
Budget 4 hours for your first attempt.
Anything after that takes about an hour less (depending on how many beers you have along the way)
Yell out if you need a hand, otherwise folliwing these instructions will be a snack.

I got a glass window top for my NA from the same mob PrestigeAutoTrims UK. Quite good, no complaints here. If I were to do so again I'd choose not to go with a glass demister though like I did before (unless the car is equipped for a rear demister already). Extra cost & I didn't even bother to have it wired up either..
I got a discount from them too by paying by direct deposit into their australian bank account. Can't remember how much exactly since my NA has since been sold & all receipts went with it.
