yeah I would prefer it to be gone. my car is getting more and more of a compromise - it will probably be a track only toy very soon so harness and all that to come.

sounds like your going down the same path i am!

yes, you need a bosskit dude, i am running a quick release, it attatchs to the bosskit and the bosskit attatchs to the steering colum. Beware though, a quick release will push your steering wheel closer towards you though. However iirc you are also running a sparco sprint, and if your as tall as me (6 foot roughly) then you should be fine. I love how everything is, its perfect for me and much better then what it was then stock.

nah no need for it, i have a works bel quick release (lots of generic ones look very similar to this) if your seat is not at full travel, it might be once this is installed, as this happened to me, but worked in favour because i have long legs and now i am not so cramped.

I'm parking my car on the street these days so I would like to get a removable wheel.

I knda want the nardi with 2 spokes and hardly any wheel to hold on to (cant find the pic anymore).

Are there any insurance/legal issues to worry about with removal of air bags and detachable wheels?

sh*t i hate being all the way back as my legs are uncomfortable when pressing the clutch pedal in and alike. I will figure it out.

actually, i have one notch left. i am also using a 330mm steering wheel, i'm sure if i were using a bigger one then i might need to go further back.

definately! but i dislike the airbagged wheel so much! and my theory of harness is safer then airbag thing to.

i'm sure there is a way to be able to get it engerniered (at least i hope there is) the only thing that gives it away really is the passenger airbag (i have put the mazda writting logo over SRS Airbag, to try hide it  )

just did some research for you mate, you can go the smaller hub from works bell and keep the length of the quick release, however these arent cheap!

http://miataroadster.com/worksbell.html

i have both works bell gear, and they are awsome, and the hub kit looks oem!

Dead weight should die on impact.
Have you removed passenger air bag? Was it easy?
