Hi All,
I'm going to be purchasing the side skirts, front air dam skirts, and rear air dam skirts in the next couple of days from mx5parts.co.uk.
I was wondering if anyone has any pics of their cars with these products fitted?
Here are the products which i'm going to purchase
http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info. ... %7B8%7D581http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info. ... %7B8%7D574http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info. ... %7B8%7D576I am also thinking about the wing spoiler but would prefer the lip spoiler. Has anyone got a lip spoiler on the hardtop nc?
Any comments will be great!
Thank you

I'm not a fan of the front spoiler. But the side skirts and rear diffuser seems ok.
I like the Mazdaspeed version. But that talking a higher level of $$$.

shipping for larger stuff is always expensive, even if it's light.

I'm pretty sure that the actual weight is far less than the volumetric weight which is what the freight company will be using to calculate the costs.
Unfortunately, this is the way things are.
I remember when I used to have the workshop and customers would order original Gracer (by Trust) body kits and the urethane parts were so light but a front lip would be at least $1k to Perth... *sigh*
That's when I realised it would be near impossible for me to order a complete genuine Jap made kit for less than $3k landed
Unless someone had a container coming and was willing to give me space

Someone should get a container from the UK to OZ and stock up on a shitload of these parts that are rare in AU and sell them here!
$750 for SHIPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ibiza international freight cost is not just based on weight. Freight is based on a volumetric formula and you can easily check this. The formula for determining chargeable wt is W*L*H in cm's/6000= vol wt in KG. Essentially freight is about space so the revenue from a box of feathers should be app equivalent to say the same size box of oil filters. If you buy a shipping container you buy the "box" ie the space inside but this is normally for volume importers.

No way am i spending $700 for shipping. I'm going to contact an aunt in the UK and see if she can work something out or look for another type of kit that is here in AUS already.
I just did an order though, purchased the ipod connector, chrome indicator rings, chrome heat control rings, chrome fog light rings and chrome cup holder rings.
looking forward to getting them!

Freight rates only "improve" if you have the right contacts ( most of us do not) or you are a bigger business account. You will also find that many of these sellers will only ship with their preferred forwarder/ freight co. US sources from business exp I have noted can be very awkward about these things. If you want to use a specific carrier they need to service the area that the supplier is in and that is not always the case. A local product might be a better proposition.
