Hey all

I'm in the market for a new front bumper and I really do like the look of the SE front bumper.
I know that the NB8B bumper dosent go on the NB8A because of the different lights, is this the same with the NB SE bumper?
If so, can I just by new lights and fit them in and replace the bumper or are the mounts different too?

Much appreciated.

The SE bumper comes from the NB8B, so no it won't fit the NB8A unless you change the headlights.

You can get new lights, but I think u'll also need NB8B wheel arch splash guards. Okibi could shine in on this.

edit:
The NB8B bar uses different inner wheel trims and has a different main fastner on the sides.

The SE bar is an NB8B with a stick on lip.

you could always source the NB8B lights, and spray the inside backing of them black.. it's been done before.

So I can just source some NB8B headlights, mount them in place of my current ones, I've got a crack in the mount of one of my lights so I'm wondering if I should just replace it for another NB8A light or replace the pair with NB8B lights and get the Bumper?
How hard are the parts to source? How much would it all set me back would you think?

Bumper is about $300, dunno the cost of the inner wheel trims, headlights will cost $600+ you could also get the connector the NB8A bumper uses at the sides as it's different to the NB8A one.

Also, for everyone worrying about getting the specific HB4 connectors for the NB8B headlights, don't bother. Just crimp on a couple of spade connectors...

At least that's what the experts at the mazda dealer I last went to for a service did, to 'fix' an electrical fault that was causing me to blow headlight globes at an alarming rate (2 or 3 weeks per globe)

The fix didn't fix the problem, but the spade connectors work quite well...
