Guys,
I can't work out how to remove the door trim of my NC. I am able to pull the panel away from the door, but can't see how the interior door handle/door lock is to be removed. Ever since the dealer replaced the speaker, there is now a rattle at certain revs and I've given up taking it back as it wastes so much of my time waiting. I was hoping to check it out myself. Any advice will be most appreciated. Thanks!

You will need a sharp hook like implement. There is a small plastic piece in the inner door handle "cup" outboard of the handle itself. You have to get that plastic bit out (with a hook like implement) to reveal a screw or the place where you disconnect the links to the locking mechanism. Be careful that you don't scratch the handle as it has a cr@ppy plastic coating. Cover such things with masking tape.
I think there is another screw in the door drink holder as I recall.

Thanks JBT! I can see the screw in the cupholder but at a loss at the door handle bit. Are you saying that the "cup" piece somehow lifts out ? In the NB there's a screw to remove after which the "cup" slides out as you lift the handle.
Oh why can't they keep it simple???

Yep, it's a little plastic section that you have to "pick" out. It's in the general area where the screw would be located if it was like the NA & NB. You may need a bright light to actually see its edges so that you can get it out. I can't remember exactly what it looks like but I watched a body repair guy take it out when taking the door card off an NC.......thought to myself at the time that I must remember that........
Someone on the USA site may have a diagram.

Now that I've had a close look at it, I think the whole inside cup section (where your knuckle would rub when you pull the inner door release handle) comes out. But it has to be picked/pulled out IIRC.
