Looks good, I saw this like 2 months a go on some US website. I think its cheaper too, around $120

imo i think cf doesn't match every colour of the 5.. certainly wouldn't look very schmick with my supreme blue

The link to me simply looks like a black plastic injection moulding with pressed metal bracketry attached. The supplier should readily be able to tell you what is the material. The suggestion about painting chrome is to be avoided. It is very hard to get good adhesion and durability as the surface is so smooth. Even chrome plating of plastic is a challenging process - achieved with plating grade plastics and very carefully controlled mouldings to avoid stress. Apart from appearance I could not really see any purpose in a CF construction for a petrol cap.

which link? the UK one is not injection moulded plastic with pressed metal bracket attached, you can examine it this sunday if you wish to...

It certainly looks like it to me. 2 mouldings ring and lid and bracket(s)probably hinged with a roll pin and spring and mounting screws. If it is not plastic it merely demonstrates that the picture and description are inadequate.
