My new hardtop stand!

After a year of it living in my spare room/home office, I decided it was time to do something with my hardtop.
Rang Mania and got our very own Ajay on the phone. Unfortunately Mania no longer had the stand I'd spent the last year looking at on their website (typical of me to wait too long
) but he suggested another that he could order in. Which he did and the price sounded good and 2 days later it arrived at work.
The box fit in the passenger side of the 5 (with the roof down of course!). And I managed to put it together all by myself and am ENORMOUSLY proud of myself (though I don't know why there are some leftover nuts and washers
).
This is one of the stands with wheels and a cover to keep the dust off the roof. I was even able to put the roof on the stand all by myself.
So if anyone is thinking about one of these give Ajay a ring, it's a really sturdy piece and I couldn't be happier! (and no, he isn't paying me for this advert, I'm just really thrilled
)

delivered to work? i gather you didn't want him knowing your address eh?
i gather this mean it's even more unlikely you'll sell the hardtop.

Well it seemed more logical to deliver to work since I'm never at home. Or at least, not home when couriers do their rounds
!
I had thought about selling the hardtop since I can't imagine when or why I'd put it back on. Even during our present Days of Hell Heat I still put the top down.
But in the end it just seemed wrong to get rid of it. And now I just need to reorganize the garage and then I can just wheel it out there!

well if your never going to put it on the car at least put it to use somewhere else. like maybe a hardtop roof for the patio swinging seat?

I wouldn't mind seeing some pics also. And if you don't mind me asking aproxematly what was the cost?
My other thought has been to somehow mount some frankenstein bolts on the wall of the garage in our new place. Would the hardtop need more support that that?

Well there are a couple of nuts and washers left over...
I honestly can't see where they'd go so hopefully the whole thing won't come crashing down one night!!
The pic is spot on and it could be my roof, mine looks exactly the same! And the shipping cost from Mania to my office in inner Adelaide suburb was $25 which I think is great - arrived two days after I ordered it!
I wish I'd taken a pic of the box in the front seat next to me, pretty funny!! I reckon I could probably get a surfboard in the car - of course I don't surf so not sure why I'd want to do that
Will take some pics for you!

Hey, I've had the front half of an exhaust, then the back-half, and a racing seat as a passenger.

My dad used some rollers of mine and made a neat home made stand for his hardtop.
I wouldnt say its much of a stand though more of a wall hanger.
cost $30odd. + the wall space.
All it is is some shower running wheels screwed back to back and then into a wall stud, they act practically the same as the frankenstein bolts on the car except they're on the wall!
