Stock NA Clubman wheel centres

Postby redwards » Tue Feb 12, 2008 10:54 pm

Previous owner must have polished the bejezus out of the plastic centres of the mags on my Clubman. They're currently a pleasant shade of yellow-y beige. Ugh.

So: What colour are they meant to be?

I figured all silver.
Someone else reckons paint them black then pick out the Mazda logo in silver. (which might look cool anyway)

They are the same colour as the wheel, silvery-champagne.

Mine were absolutely perfect until I touched them with fingers that had residue from Loctite's anti-seize compound, and after a week, *abracadabra*! the bits I touched got stripped down to the yucky yellowy plastic.

Word of advice for everyone, make sure your hands are COMPLETELY clean before touching the wheel centres.

And in case your next question is \"where can I buy a set?\", I've only seen one set for sale on eBay. Ever.

Bugger that for a joke. I'll just paint them. Carefully.
